09 250s 180 miles and dead
Drove it in the work parking lot today....It was raining....After using the choke and bike idling fine......Gas drip spots behind my trail...Then it dies....Run full choke...Runs like a champ.....
the problem is in the carb. tell them you want it soaked and cleaned. see if they'll throw in a 125 main for you. you'll need that eventually anyway so it might a well go in now.
Im pzzed...
Dealer finally got my bike after 6 days....They said it was out of gas..I told them not a chance...Gas went somewhere....When it died it had 1/2 a tank if not more...90 miles on a full tank of gas...When I drove it in the rain I could see drips of gas behind me...Dealer says it isnt leaking....I also told them I wanted an oil change if they wouldnt cover it....They never did it and told me my oil was fine....Im gonna flip out

I am having aproblem with my dealer right now too they don't want to cover anything. I had to bring in my bike for its first service, and don't get me started on how a oil change can cost me $150 but i figured i would go ahead and do the recall and get my helmet lock fixed while it was there. And they argued with me that the helmet lock is not part of the bike. [:@]I hate stupid people
Hey f1rocco, you should be pzzed....dumb azz dealers
But I got a potential solution for you because I had a similar problem and EMS witnessed it.
If your floats in the carb are a little tweeked fuel can run out the vents except when you really gassss the bike. I was at the tour de appocholia (sp) thing a year and a half ago and at a bread point to let all the bikes group up and cluster F everything someone pointed out that fuel was streaming out my vent lines
The bike was running a little crappy too, I started her up and the leak was much less.....so I just gassed it for the rest of the trail back to the campsite....fixed float and bike ran like a champ....EMS rode my bike that evening too.

+1. Your dealer is a moron. I put 2+2 together as soon as you said you saw gas on the ground. Pull the float bowl, check the needle and seat and a float height or find a dealerwho knows what he's doing and have him do that for you.

Ohh, I don't know where this filling up the gas tank idea came from.....when I top off my tank, I balance it to make sure I can get it totally full.....no issues.
