180 miles and died 4 times today.....Have to run choke after 1 minute of sit time to run....

 

Interesting.....

The choke runs theidle at 3800rpms but according to the break in info you are not supposed to go over 4000rpms until 1000 miles...

 

Manual says minimum 87 octane...I wonder what free tank of gas they gave me to start off with with todays prices...I put 1 gallon of 91 yesterday to be safe...

 

I have an 09 and the dealer said run NOTHING less than 92. I have 600 miles with no stalls or hard starting even at 8000'

My manual says minimum 87....So If I added 1 gallon of 91 and they used 92 or 93 Im still ok....I just read something about not running the same rpm for any length of time can hurt the motor...My guess my average rpmz helped cause this issue...

 

Motor knocked or thumped since I bought it.....Sounds like a single cylinder to me....More on low rpms underpowered and more during its powerband...Figured it was normal..

 

How exactly is it dieing? For my 06' KLX, I always run 91 octane, but manual says it could run 87 octane.

 

i always run lowest grade gas at the pump.... never a problem in my 8400 miles.....

 

hmmm did you fill your tank all the way to the top!!!

 

ME? i always fill it to the top....... and that shouldnt effect it running.....[&:]
