Sorry for continuing to go off topic, but... I'm curious, did you drill holes for the control housing or did you grind down the nubs?

 

Ground down the nubs.

 

Then if they slip, as mine did, a layer or 2 of electrical tape did the job.

 

How much wider are they? Can you measure? I have the Moose Contour handguards and they don't fit my stock bars. Rather than go through the hassle of returning them and getting something different, for $20 I might as well just buy new bars.

BTW, I like the bag set-up!

 

The factory bars are pretty weak. If you ride tough off road trails, get some Protaper bars. I really like the KX High bars I installed.

 

where did you get the rack at?

 

The bars are about 3/4" longer on each side. The rack is from ebay. He might be out of them now. I learned about them from these forums!
