Default KLR 250 Problem

My 95 KLR won't go immediately after I start it
I have to rev the engine pretty hard then it will finally go when i begin to release the clutch.
Without revving the engine the RPMs drop to 0 and the bike dies unless i pull in the clutch and rev it for 30 or so seconds

Any solutions?

Was it the carb?

If that was not the the problem, Try removing the Kickstand switch. I the wires are under the seat on the right side(from the front), just wire those togather. I had the same problem with me 95 250 and that was the problem.
