Hi!, I'm new to this forum, hopefully this is in the right category.

So My dad got a 1982 klx 250 a little while ago, and I've noticed there's a good chunk of part of the engine missing on the left side.It leaks oil around the area where the white paste was put. I know it looks like parts of the bike were kind of pieced together, which isn't a huge issue, but the area in the pictures is because it leaks oil like crazy there. If anybody knows what should be there or how it should look and could help me out, that would be awesome, thanks!

I hate to say this but I think you need a new crankcase or someone to weld it. Either way the engine will need to come out and pulled apart.
Either that or try to get another engine.

 

Dang ok, I did have the cover removed, that's why there's a long gap going between it and the engine in the photo, but I just didn't think that section of white paste or glue was right... Thanks for the reply, I might just start looking for a new engine or block lol.
