Need a 900 Subforum
I can't believe one hasn't been added yet... I'm going to the bike shop today to pick up my owners manual that they forgot to give me. -=) I also just passed the 550 mile mark on the odometer and will probably just have them do the first service on it to make sure it's all good to go.
By the way: my rear brakes squeak a little bit when I'm slowing down to come to a stop (between like 25-30 mph) they probably just need to be adjusted but, anyone else have this minor issue? Also, I can notice a backfire when downshifting from 3rd to second when slowing down to a stop also, anyone else? Ride safe.

I noticed that there really aren't any resources for 900 owners on the net in general so I started a forum a few days ago. Most of the members so far are 900 owners that couldn't find a home. I myself own a candy plasma blue 900 custom.

i agree! bought my 900 lt in july. I have the ticking also. Anyone with a lt? Wind turbulance a problem? Also, could they have put the instruments in a worse place. In spite of my concerns, it is a fantastic ride.
I agree that a VN900 subforum would be useful. I have had my 2007 VN900 Custom in black for a year now. Have only put on 2500 miles due to ankle surgery, but I am very happy with the bike. Over the past year I have added a Cobra large sissy bar, luggage rack, Mustang seat, and Memphis Shades windshield.
I'd like to see someimprovements made to the bike, including an accurate speedometer (mine is at least 5 mph off, as reported by others); better high-end gearing or a 6-speed transmission; accurate fuel gauge (the reserve light seems accurate so I go by that in addition to using my tripmeter).
I'm interested to hear of others' experienceschanging out the pipes, andget someinput on which pipes provide various sound and performance characteristics. I don't need to be theloudest bike on the ride but I'd like something thatsounds a little more robust than the stock pipes and their similarity to a Craftsman lawnmower! I welcome any input you might have.

welcome all of you guys but post in the newbie section and let the admins know who you are and ask there. some of them don't have vulcans and therefor may not look in this section
I just put a new set of Metzlers on my vn900. what a huge difference from the oem D404s. Bike rolls over much quicker. The rear tire, The 180 is proprietary from Kawasaki but Metzler does have it. Yes there should be a 900 forum. So Mr admistrator please handle this.
