I have a 09 kfx450r and found that my fan is not working,checked a few simple things from the shop manual,however at no time/heat do I get power to the fan circuit at all.Anyone run into this ? any help appreciated
I've checked the wires going to the fan motor,fan relay(removed frt plastics)and temp sensor(behind cyl),I've checked these when at ambient temp and at upto 230 degrees when the fan should be on(with the exception of the sensor due to location when hot,don't have long enough probes on meter)but nothing in the circuit is energizing.once again any help appreciated

 

Welcome to the forums. Not sure about the ATV, but on my KLX, my fan only comes on if its over 100 degrees out and I'm in first gear on a single track trail going slow.

 

deej,thanks for the reply,not to sure what you mean by 100 degrees out,unless you mean air temp....but whatever....the klx and the kfx are 2 completely different aminals...thanks for trying tho...
