1990 or 91 Mule 4x4

The boots on the front CV joint have to be replaced.
I pulled an axle and removed the old boot. It appears the CV joint cannot be torn down. There are no snap rings or other means of getting it apart. It appears the snap ring in inside the unit.
The manual tells me that if the boot craps out replace the axle.
Easy for them to say.
I have new boots.

Suggestions welcome.

I just got a 3010 and the front boots where bad. I did them, only one cv comes apart I believe the out side and you remove it and take off the inside on off and replace and put the outside back on. was not hard but time consuming.
