Bought this 97 Mule had been sitting 3yrs. Cleaned tank, replaced lines, filter, pump and rebuilt carb. Turns over and sounds great but wont move and has bad sound coming from under the belt cover. removed cover and this is what I saw. Any comments/suggestions welcome.Let me know how bad this is reply or email xcycle@yahoo.com

hey xcycle, video looks good but it sure looks like trouble. i am new to forum and mule repairs so im not much help. I have a diesel 2510 mule that the throttle started sticking.
checked cable and found it connected to speed control lever which does not return when you take your foot off gas pedal. looking for info. good luck with that belt. looks awfully loose. let me know what you find out.

I need to take the torque converter off and check for damage to driveshaft. Not likely. but possible.
The drive and driven pulley and the clutches inside them are likely toast... about $400 each to replace.
I would suggest you get on Ebay and buy a Kawasaki Mule manual download, there only like $7.00 , WELL worth it. Make sure you get the service manual NOT owners manual.

assuming the machine is in neutral in the video i would say your drive clutch is damaged they are readily available a little pricey but worth it these old mule are pretty rugged machines
