I have a JS-300. I know I should put a 550 engine in it...however I'm not ready for that undertaking and the engine runs...mostly. Problem I'm having is that the engine loses power when it falls over on its side...yes I need to learn to ride better...I have to have it running to learn to ride better.

It starts up, runs well until I fall and it falls on its side. It immediately starts to lose power and I can barely get it back to shore. I shut it down and doesn't have any power until it sits forever and I start over. When I got it, the ski didn't start. I changed the head gasket because the engine had no compression and it started running.

It's an 86 model

Any ideas?
