Noise? as in grinding, chattering, ticking or slapping? Or is it worse than that?

Kaws do have some bikes with notorious cam chain problems. It's usually a faulty adjuster, very easy to fix. My KZ750 also had a bad automatic cam chain adjuster, so I installed a manual adjuster in it's place. That took care of nearly all my top-end rattles.
