zx9 igniter in zx7

Does anyone know if a 98 zx9r igniter will work in a 97 zx7r? It has the same plug configuration. The last four digits of the part number on the 9r is 1462 and on the 7r it's 1444.

I have no idea.. You're right on the part #'s tho'. what the worst case scenario if you hooked it up and it did not work?? If I had to guess, it would probably work, but have a different voltage maybe??????
