ZX6R (636) B1H with FI light coming on but no error codes?
Just like to say that i am new to this forum, and wondered if anyone had any ideas about this problem....
Okay bike been in garage now 5 weeks (very busy garage with Mots and car servicing), they have tried every part (as they have a track bike the same) which would cause the bike not to start.
the FI comes on and there is no fuel pump or ignition but there are no error codes showing even in dealer mode?
They thought they fixed this the first time round as they found a green terminal on the end of the cam angle sensor (or something) but it broke down about 4 days later so they took it back in....
they are now saying that this could be the alarm that is causing this cant see it myself.. (no expert though) also that for this to show there is no error code means it could be the ECU or a wiring issue.. has anyone else had this problem and has an idea of how to solve it... as i am running out of sunny days and we don't get many of those round here..

its a B1H (2003) no mods apart from a beuwolf exhaust but had that on for ages without any problems.
just strange how its not giving an error code.. guy at garage said he is building a track bike at home and found that within the wiring the is diodes that run from switches (stand, clutch switch) and he never had his on, and this did the same kind of thing... showing no codes on the FI light..

Generally it will be a switch keeping it from starting, but I'm not sure which switches on the 636 prevent the starter from working. It is possible that its an alarm or anti theft device but I'm not up on the subject. Good luck withthe fix.

hmm see page 3-62 of your factory service manual.
"If the problem is with the following parts, the ECU cannot memorize these problems.
FI Indicator LED Light
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pump Relay
DFI Main Relay
ECU Power Source Wiring and Ground Wiring. (see ECU inspection)
Fuel Injectors"
If the Ground and Power supply to the ECU check out, replace the ECU.
Good luck on the find and Welcome to KF.
