Default Z1A steering bearings

Has anyone installed the kit (roller bearings) other than the ball bearings in the steering stem?
I'm looking at ether stock ball bearings with new seats or the roller kit for the 1974 Z1A.
Thanks
Tom

I have not, but I prefer the tapered (roller bearings). A small press works well to seat the new tapered bearings in place. (such as 3/8" all thread, some fender washers and nuts)
