Default Need help regarding overheating

I have a 2003 1500 Vulcan Nomad and just added a Texas Ranger sidecar. Now experiencing overheating problems with shifting becoming almost impossible and then the engine shutting down. Any suggestions on dealing with this overheating problem? I imagine it is caused by the extra 350 pounds the engine must now pull. Thanks in advance.

I have no knowledge on your combination. Check to see if the brakes are dragging? I wouldn't think that 350 lbs would cause a sudden change like this overheating issue.

Did you have to add anything like fairings or change the Radiator at all?

I know that sidecars require a different fork that could come in the way of the radiator...

did you have to change anything else? is gearing an issue? is it high reving a lot?

Thanks for the replies. I took the bike to an excellent Kawasaki dealer in Ocala, Florida and the problem was the clutch and the heat of the engine compounded the problem creating the shifting problem. New clutch and plates now being installed and hopefully back on the road soon.
