Default Will kawasaki honor a warranty on a 2020 bike?

I just picked up a versys 300 from someone that got it from a dealer. On the way home, it died on me.
Now it sounds like it threw a rod.
The bike only has 200 miles on it, but the warranty expired last month. Is Kawasaki going to cover the repairs?? Literally, 200 miles.

I dunno, Is the warranty transferable? If so, go to a Kaw dealer and see.

200 miles and you threw a rod?? There's got to be more to this story.

So the story of the bike is as follows:
Original owner buys in 2020, returns it to a dealer, then the chick i got it from buys it and barely rides it. Then I got it

I would venture to say you wouldn't be saying "sounds like it threw a rod" you'd be saying "anyone know where I can get a set of cases?" Rods tend to go through engine cases and cylinder walls, breaking everything in their path.

I will say you will never know if it can be covered by asking here. Go to a Kawasaki dealer and find out if the warranty is transferable and if it is covered. Only they can tell you that.
