could be but the complaint was jerking during first and second shifting. What I understood it as.

I doubt I have teeth missing off of first gear, I think that would make a terrible noise. When first slips it makes no unusual noises. It doesn't jerk so bad that I'm afraid of hurting something in the bike, but it surely isn't right.
