Default Throttle sticking

I just bought a 2000 ZX6-R. The bike runs great, but recently the throttle is starting to stick and is a little loose. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem or is that better left for the shop?

Hmm? Starting to stick but a little loose....try pulling the housing off and see whatcha got with the throttle cable and tube. I'm sure you'll get a better answer by end of the week-end.

Same suggestion
When you pull off the throttle pay particular attention to
how the plug at the end of the cable hooks onto the throttle
You'll find it easier when you reassemble
Have some lube on hand for when you reassemble
That may solve the "sticking" problem
This is routine maintenance

Make sure that the grip is not rubbing either. That can cause a sticking issue as well.

Sounds like you just need to make some throttle cable adjustments to me. Mine was the same way and it was just an adjustment. Too much slack on one side, possibly both. Hmm, wait.. Is it a mechanical throttle on that year or are they electronic? I may be outta my element here.
