Default Replacement key and manual

2008 KZ200, 2200 miles on the ODO. I am doing some needed service on this bike for a friend, she bought the bike with no key to open the seat. The Ignition key does not work on the seat, did these come with 2 different keys/locks, one for ignition, one for the seat? Would a dealer be able to supply a key from the vin number?
I would also like to find an Owners Manual and a Shop Manual.
This is a freebie project for me so I know it will end up being a real P I A !
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mick

Ummm The Kawasaki KZ200 was a street motorcycle produced between 1977 and 1984 by Kawasaki

No 2008 model

You are right, I checked the plate on the headstock. I hope she didn't register it as a 2008.
I was able to unbolt the latch just above the lock, when I get the lock off I will get a key made.
Thanks, Mick

In my experience, the most expensive motorcycles are free ones. I hope your experience is different!

Good luck with the key. Check ebay for manuals. I didn't know there was a KZ200; I had an '81 KZ750LTD for my college years and ran it through several sets of tires.

Single cylinder, smaller version of the kz250. Mate of mine had the LTD250. Good little bike.

Yes, and free service can cause headaches too! I am not going to ask what she paid for the bike.
BTW I got the seat up and the seat lock off. I will bring it to a locksmith who will be able to take care of the key problem.
You should see the cracks on the tires on this, scary that she rode it like this.
