Default Race ECU Programming

Just got the call that it would cost me a weeks labor in order to tune the ecu (first time they have seen or played with one). Needless to say my jaw dropped. They tried working with it today, roller coaster a/f. Lean, rich, lean, rich. Was told to use a dynojet pc3 instead which would only be $300 to tune.

Any known and experienced raceecu dyno shops on the west coast? The prob is that my base tune was done at this shop so that I could get a history of mods and what they did. $2k estimate is something that is/was unexpected in order to dial in the ecu to them and to me!

I am bummed at the moment.

edit: terminology

Try calling this shop, ask for Long. They are out of your way but they are in the know and may be able to direct you to a shop closer to you.

Advanced Kawasaki said that they would do it for me there in Long Beach. About a 8-9hr drive from reno. Takes 2-3hrs to do it and not a week of $2000. He said that that would be like bending over without using any vaseline!

edit: Attack Kawasaki recommended this shop for the job.
