PIPE QUESTIONS
HOWDY Y'ALL. I WAS WONDERING IF ANY KNEW THE POSSIBLITY OF A new Yoshimura rs-3 oval PIPE FITTING ON MY'05 ZZR600 WHEN THE PAPERS THAT IT CAME WITH IT SAY IT'S FOR A '96-'01 ZX-7R AND IT'S A BOLT-ON NOT A SLIP-ON. SO TWO QUESTIONS ARE; 1) AM I LUCKY ENOUGH FOR IT TO FIT 2) IS A BOLT-ON A PROBLEM OR WILL IT FIT ONAS EASY AS A SLIP-ONORCAN IT BE MODIFIED TO FIT? I KNOW TOO MANY QUESTIONS BUT ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS FOR WHAT EVER HELP I CAN GET.
THIS IS WHAT I HAVE. http://www.exoticsportbike.com/yoshimura.htmTHIS HAS SOME PIX AND A VAUGE DISCRIPTION. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TO AND I'M NOT SURE WHAT IT IS OR IF IT MATTERS. I'M MOST WORRIED ABOUT IF THE ZX-7R EXHUAST WOULD HINDER PERFORMANCEOR CAUSE PROBLEMS FOR MY BIKE.
look at the pic in the link, a bolt on is just a bolt on muffler that replaces the stock bolt on can and the slip on is a mid pipe and can and it slip fits togather. id say no to it working on your bike without major modifications that are not wirth the time and effort.
SO YOU DON'T THINK THAT A NEW CNC FITTING TO MAKE THE PIPE FIT THE CAN WOULD BE DO-ABLE. THANKS FOR THE HELP EVIL. I'M NEW TO THE BIKE MODIFICATION BUSINESS I KNOW YOU CAN MAKE FITTINGS FOR THIS TYPE OF THING ON CARS BUT I'M NOT SURE IF THAT WOULD CAUSE PERFORMAMCE ISSUES FOR MY BIKE.
THANKS FOR THE HELPI KNOW I SOUND LIKE A BROKEN RECORD W/ DOWN SYNDROME.
THANKS AGAIN

if you have access to a cnc and its not coming out of your pocket then you can make a new piece to go on the rear of the pipe and a mount for it and it will work. not sure of the performance loss tho as the 7 has more to flow so the pipe might be a tad less restrictive or theres a chance that there is no difference at all in the design.
