Bike is a 2005 Ninja 500r
So today I noticed a slight burnt oil smell while the bike was warming up in my driveway... I rode it to work, and when i got home i pulled the lower fairing/cowl and checked the drainplug and the filter, and they are both tight and not leaking. It does however look like there is oil coming out of the smaller diameter hose that sort of ends in the fairing. I traced the hose back up and it looks like it goes to the air cleaner box... I think...

Im not quite familiar with motorcycles mechanically. Is there a hose that goes fromt the air cleaner to the bottom of the cowl? and if so what kind of problem am I looking at?

 

i think that would be your overfill coming out of the tube....if you overfill the bike with oil it comes out that tube and thats probably what that is....my bike was doing it too
