i have never owned a jet ski before and was given a 1981 jetski that runs fairly well. i was wandering do i need to change the oil in the crank case like a dirtbike/car. if not why is there an oil fill cap at the front of the generator/flywheel area. if so what kind is recommended and how much do i put.

 

Yes, you do need to change the oil. They make a special oil just for marine use.... your local dealer should stock it.
