Default my wonderful jetting experience

OK, Everyone pretty much knows what I have. Full exuahst, k&n filter and a dynojet jetkit. I am running the larger jets supplied with the kit and the air/fuel screws are set correctly. Here is my issue. If I leave the emmisions crap on it will start right up with the choke, immediatly raise the rpms to like 3k. Once the bike is warm, it revs smooth but there is hesitation in the low/mid. If I remove the emmisions, it doesn't like choke at all, But it gets rid of the low/mid hesitation. The bike runs like crap if i'm trying to cruise at a slow speed, but once you open the throttle it goes. I've tried moving the eclips on the needle up one spot and it just ran like crap so I set it back to normal. I haven't tried moving it down to see what it would do though(these tests were done with the emmisions off) There really doesn't seem to be much of a difference in power between the emmisions mod, but there is a difference in smoothness when accel from the low end of the powerband. Its like when I take the emmissions off, which BTW means equalling out the pressure between the airbox, floatbowls and intake manifold) the bike wants to do nothing but accelarate. I want the emmisions off b/c of the immediate throttle responce int he mid and my butt dyno seems to think there is slightly more pull, but it doesn't like part throttle and choke doesn't really do squat. Any suggestions on how to fix it or do I have to just deal with it.

dynojet said to tape up half the airfilter and run the bike and see how it runs. If it runs better then the system in too lean, if it runs worse, then the system is too rich. I also Have a dead spot around 6700 and he said to drop the needles down to #5 and see if that fixes it. owell I guess we will see huh

hey wall, just so you dont get discouraged. i had about 15 different sets of jets for my zx7 and had the rack off a good 40 times before i was happy with it. if it were as easy as buying a kit that would fix it everyone would do it. on my zx7, i never had a problem in slow speed cruising, idleing, revs hanging or anything. it was ***** on.

where are your settings at currently ? how about the air box/filter ?

MTC 2 mm overbore kit.
Muzzy works mega cams.
Stage 3 port work (race).
Cut and balanced ZX9 crank.
1 mm oversized titanium valves.
Carbs bored and port matched to the head.
NOS direct port injection.
Carillo Rods.
Timing advancer.
I'm running 198 main jets across the board,no box with velocity stacks.
It's a monster after 5 grand though and I have to run it a little rich or it will get hot because I'm running over 13:5:1 comp.

WOW CAPS ARE AWESOME!!!

I put the eclips from 4 to 5 and I think I finially fixed most of the problems. The choke now works with the float bowl mod, The bike just hauls ***, but I can't seem to shake the flatspot at 6500 rpms. I will pull hard from 4 until I get to 6500(only in tall gears) then it acts like I'm not getting any fuel, then as soon as I can crawl past that spot its a fing missle from 7 on. I'm happy with it finially!!!!!
