'03 XZ6R with hindle titanium exhaust. not tuned. pops.
i know this is bad, but after riding the bike i smell like a$$! it's a VERY PUGNET burnt exhaust smell. not sure if it's something that is detrimental to the bike or okay. do these bikes normally "spray" a lot of exhaust fumes on your back?

yeah, i was thinking that too cause i am popping and the inside of my pipe is nasty black with soot (sp?). i guess that's better than being lean though. it just got really bad in the past few weeks. i was just hoping it was not a coolant burning problem. sweet, well thanks. i guess i should get that power commander sooner than later.

How's the exhaust color? If it's real dark that'll tell you it's rich too..

I started my 06 yesterday and the exhaust smell was more than i usualy i smell. I think the bikes are running rich intill they warm up to a good temp. I think mine wasn't as strong after it was running about 160 degrees. or i just didn't notice the exhaust smell any more. oh by the way i live in flordia to but it was cooler than usual down here the other day.
