Hi, I am a new rider and new to here too. I have a 2001 zx6r, the bike runs great at high speed.
but if I don't rev my throttle, the rpm is less than 1000, and the engine dies almost everytime when I release my clutch!
Now I am really scare of the red light and stop sign. because it is quite possible I will be stuck in the middle of the road. That sucks!
So does anyone know what's going on? Thanks

 

I would try to adjust the idle air screw or tighten the throttle cable.

 

inside ur left fairing by ur upper leg there is a idle adjustment. that should solve ur problem
