Default List of Parts?

Hey, i'm only 15 years old and despite trying to choose motor vehicle maintenance as a GCSE option in school there were not enough places left on the course for me.

So I have been searching the internet for a site that provides a list of bike parts (all of them), and perhaps even describes what they do and where they are on a bike. I cannot find anything like this and i've been looking for a fair while, can anybody help me here or is there no such list on the internet?

Thanks!

I'm not too sure myself. I have never come across a website that did a breakdown on all the individual motorcycle parts to explain them. Your best bet is to buy some motorcycle tech/service manuals. Those are great (and invaluable) to teach you all the fundamentals and more.

www.bikebandit.com will give you a blown up exploded view and name of the parts in sections as well as their name and part numbers but it dont explain what each individual part does. it may help you out a little but your best bet is a repair manuel or a service manuel of some sort, but i dont think they would cover what each part does.

Thank you for that site, that's pretty much the 2nd best thing I could hope to get anyway. I'll also try the repair or service manuals too, at least i'm getting an insight of the parts.
