Good advise. Get a baseline measurement before and after any tear downs.

And how might I go about doing that?
The lincoln is done, well almost now the stupid air suspension wont raise in the front.
So I will be starting work on the bike very soon.

baseline=measurements prior to tear downof any kind.

You have basic hand tools right? feeler gauges should be a part of the tool kit. Your manual will show you how to measure and at what specs they should be in.
