That is right where your cam chain is. Change your tensionser bro, like I said at that age it is most likely worn out and you will need a new one anyway if you have to get into here any further.

How can I check to see if its bad?
Do I measure the slack in the chain like I would a belt on a car?If so do you know what the tolerances are?

The fiche that I pulled up says that the cam chain is in the middle. And has rockers. Now, is this the same ride that you have or not? Is yours a C2 model?
