I noticed that my tach is very sluggish. I tried to pull it to oil it but, the light wires prevent it from coming out. How do you remove the wires? I don't want to gut the tach, just oil it. It does read but it takes a long time to rise and come back . Just like it is in molasses.

 

Isn't it cable driven?

 

Yes the tach is cable driven. It worked fine until the weather cooled. I don't know if that caused it or not. It did work just fine last summer.I can remove it from the mount but the wires are short so I can't turn it over to oil it.
