Welcome to KF

Things to consider. The axle size and the rim size. You can check out the parts fiche to get a part number or your service manual can provide that information to help in your cross reference question.

What year are we talking about?

aw sry, i forgot the year. the front suspension (is there no special word for that? ) is from 93 and i don't have the parts fiche (is that a part catalogue? ) or service manual (do you? ), cause i will built it into a kawa kmx, the enduro version.

A parts fiche like this: Kawasaki Motorcycle Parts 1993 KX125-J2 KX125 FRONT HUB Diagram

You can compare axles, bearings, etc and see where they go and how they are described.

No, I do not have a manual on the '93 kx 125

hmmm.. so now i have the part number of the kx 125 front rim 1993:
41090-1092
BUT when i search that number, i only find kx 125
and i thought that at least the kx 250 had the same rim?! so where is the mistake?

and another weird thing, the hub: 41034-1226
is the same in KX 125, 250 and 500 from 93 - 04

can anybody help?

The hubs may be the same, but if you can cross reference the bearings needed, some of the bearings already tell you the size, that will tell you the diameter of the axles used for each bike. That info may help you on your original question.

Yes, that was what I am meaning. The O.D of the bearing size should be the same for those hubs while the I.D size of the bearing will indicate the axle diameter. A lot of times the diameter of the axle will change or the wall thickness of the axle will change which means that a different part number is designated to that axle. Which makes it confusing for joe smoe like me if I wanted to use a different axle for my bike.

This is how I would go about it anyways, talk with your local bike shop, talk with the different wheel manufacturers out there for their input on what they use. And of course brain storm with forums like we are doing.

Good luck with this

ok, thank you but it would not be nice, if i'd have the wrong rim at the end, so you're right, maybe it will be the best to ask my local dealer

greetings
