Heres a really tricky 1 for you guys. I have just replaced the main clutch and centrifugal clutch on my klf 300 quad bike. The clutch that is now on has been tested prev by myself in another quad and all worked well. Both clutch parts were all identical before replaced. The quad now pulls off with loads of torque but has a really loud rubbing noise from the centrifugal clutch and outer casing when revved up (taking up drive). i have stripped back down many times and read the manual, put all washers in the correct position etc but it seams like the centrifugal clutch is sticking out by 3 mm too much or so. Any help please. Would be worth a pint if any one can help. Many Thanks

 

hmm, you mentioned that it is 3mm outboard from the get go. I do not have a manual to compare, but is the keyway bad? Making it 3mm too long?
