on a previous post someone had a kickstand that wouldn't stay completely up and they questioned the spring tension or the frame attachment point. i had a sticky ks on my 2003 VN1500 FI. i just went and checked, and the spring was not stretched or the bracket cracked or broken...so I tried the next best thing to duct tape (other than canned bread and sliced beer) --- WD-40 which I sprayed into all of the ks parts. i let it set for 2 minutes and it's like brand new. ks 'SNAPZ' up and down crisply and easily. i love savin' $$$$$!!!!!!! ))
