Use a test lite or meter and determine each wire.
3 wires:
1=ground (usually black or green with a black stripe)
2=marker lite (low lite output) Which isn't used if the flush mounts only have 2 wires.
3=blinker lite (bright output)
So, once you determine which is which, the ground to the black on the light, the marker lite wire taped and tucked away, and the last 2 together should finish the job. Volia!!
Sorry to make it sound so simple. As far as the fairings being a pain, you're right, they are. Welcome to motorcycle mechanics 101. Take it apart 3 or 4 more times, and it'll get easier...

They are Motrax from cyclegear.com - I couldn't tell you if they fit yet, but the bike is listed as compatible with them....
