I have a 97 zx7 that gets no spark. Someone has told me that it has to have the ignition switch in it to run. Like it sends some message to the cdi or something. I can see that on a newer bike but not a 97. I can see no reason why it should keep it from getting spark just because I have it hotwired. Anyone know anything about it?

 

i hotwired my 7 a few days ago and had the same problem. kawi puts something in the ignition that tells the computer to give spark. it sux and you can bypass it, but i have no damn idea
