I just bought my son an 05 kx250f. Have some questions with oil changes. Is there actually two different oils on this bike? I can see oil in the sight glass above the brake, but we are not sure if we have enough oil in the engine compartment on the shifter side. How do I check the oilsto ensurethe level is adequate.

 

if the oil covers the site glass when its standing straight up then its fine, if the oil level is below the sight glass then you need to add some. if it looks black, its time to change it.

 

since the kx250f is a wet clutch, only one sight glass. Look at 7-3 #22 in your manual.
