help me rise!!
i wanna raise tha rear of my 01 zx7r its currently lowered 2 notches says tha guy i bought from..im 6'4 n this isnt workin .. so my question is wat tools wud i need n basically wat am i lookn 4??
Depending upon the shock you have in the rear, it may be as simple as finding a preload wrench (or using the dreaded hammer and screwdriver arrangement) to change the notched ring around your shock. You will want to efffectively raise the height of your shock. Your "2 notches" probably refers to two detents in the adjustment. This is the cheapest (and standard) way to raise your rear end.
The "other way" is to use either a "longer shock" or spacers which will make your shock taller. As long as you don't get too far outside the geometry of the stock shock specs, your handling shouldn't suffer. If that's still not enough height for you, consider a different bike. Although 7's are one of my favorites, they can seem a bit low in the saddle for tall people.
Hope this helps.
