generator/ stator question

the bike runs off the generator, right? if so, if i take off the + lead on the battery would the bike keep running off the generator?

if ur bike has an electronic ignition in which it prob does then it will not continue to run at all w/ lead off the battery. the pulse coil tells spark plug when to fire.
