Default Front Sprocket help

I am new to bikes and I have a question about my new KLX 250s. I bought a new 13 tooth sprocket to put on the front. What is the trick to taking off the old one. There is a large bolt and from just looking I can't tell if it is a right or left handed nut....also should it turn right off or do I need to to something special????

Default RE: Front Sprocket help

From my experiences with sprockets there are threaded normally. so turn to the left to get it off. It will take alot of force, use a impact wrench if u have access to one. In the how to section there is a sprocket change for my bike, its different than yours but the process should be the same.
