Default Fork bushings

I am having a set of KZ550 forks rebuilt. The dealer has now had them for almost 7 weeks. He says the bushing are worn out, and need to be replaced. However, he needs one more bushing which is on back order from Kawasaki.Bike Bandit does not have them either.
Does anyone know where I can get a bushing, Kawasaki part #44065-1021? Fork bushing off of a 1982/83 KZ550 LTD.

How much is the dealer going to charge you for doing all this?

I rebuilt the forks on my KZ750 myself last year, and one thing I know about the bushings is that they tend not to wear out that often. Are you certain they were bad to begin with? If so, you would probably save a lot more money just buying a set of used forks from eBay. The most you should have to do is replace the fork oil seals.

Default RE: Fork bushings

Normal rebuild is about $70 each plus parts. Dealer had the forks for 3 weeks before they started working on them, then had to order seals. I gave them the seals, then they had to order the bushings. When the got the bushings, one was mislabeled. Right package, wrong part. So the part was back ordered, which is where we now are.
