EN450 (LTD454) Question
I have just purchased a 1985 EN450 (454LTD).
It needs new cylinders, pistons and rings.
I have a EX500 out of a 1990 Ninja sitting in the garage that runs good.
What is my best course of action since the two engines are so simular?
Should I take the cylinders, pistons and rings out of the EX500 and use them on the EN450 or should I try to use the drive belt sprocket off of the EN450 on the EX500?
Kawasaki has told me these engines are identical except for the top ends and one is belt drive and the other is chain.
Please help me I don't know which way is the best to go.
Thanks in advance, David

If the EX500 engine compares to the EN450 as far as the engine mounting, carbs, etc. I would try and use the EX500 engine since the cylinders are bad on the EN. Then again, an EN engine should not run you too much either.
