I've got an en450 ltd , i've left it standing for 18 months but i've just got it back on the road but the tacho and the speedo are not working i've tried different cables which i know are in good condition but they still don't work .i.ve removed the clocks and sprayed them with oil where the cable goes in and the tacho did start to work for a short while but the next time i started the bike it wasn't working again but the speedo has made no attempt to work at all . I havn't got a clue whats wrong with them has anyone any ideas???????

 

kinda sounds like a bad ground or a molex connection in the harness.

 

call me stupid if you want ,but what is a molex connection??
The thing that i forget to say in relation to the speedo not working is it is still showing the amount of miles increasing it just doesn't let you know what speed you are doing which make itseem very strange because obviously it is working or at least partly working.
As regards a bad ground is that notonly in relation to electrical problems? , where as this is operated via a cable,
