Hi All. Ive got a Kawa KLE 500, the chain is adjusted to KAWA specs at 35 to 45mm free play, however, when I sit on the bike the chain goes solid rigid and there is zero free play. the bike is a old 1992 model. Someone has told me it could be the mono shock, whatever it is its tearing the splines off my front sprocket as the chain is so tight.... till i get off again ...then it has correct free play.thanks in anticipation.

 

The shock is easy enough to check. Check your static sag and your rider sag. Your spring may be toast or way under sprung for your weight. A good read http://www.sportrider.com/suspension...ide/index.html
