Default Crushed expansion chamber (2stroke)

I finaly got my kdx back after having it stolen a year ago but
In a miserable condition .
Looks like its been droped off a trailer or run over or something.
I plan on fixing it my self but don't have much cash spare to spend on new parts. The biggest problem at the moment is the expansion chambers been crushed, the plan is to drill a hole and bang it back into shape from the other side then weild up the hole 'till I can get a new one.
The question is how much performance can I expect to lose with a slightly mis-shapen chamber as I won't be able to get it exact?

shouldn't really loose that much power.. as long as you get the general shape back to normal.. no real big divots in the chamber.

you can always hack it in half, refowm with a hammer and dolly or punches or whatever and then re-weld together.. i'd probably jusr but the halves together then fuse weld it with Tig.. add filler rod where it's thin.

good luck, and welcome to KF!!!
