Default chain conversions

I've soon a 530 to 520 and a 525 to 520 conversion. I'm looking to regear my ride this summer and I starting to look at sprockets and I have no clue what these conversions are? I was looking at the renthal website and for nonconversion sprockets all i can do is a -1+2
if a i do a conversion i can do a -1+4. I know what when I do this I loose top speed. Pegging 179 isn't a concern to me. But getting my *** handed to me by gotrice when I took off first really got me looking into having to add something for more umph. My power wheelie's barely get off the ground. I know I have to get a new chain with the new sprockets b/c of were purposes and maybe length. Any and All input is greatly appraciated.

BTW, I will be installing them with duct tape for safety reasons.

you will have no problem with wheelies if you go -1 +4. Its a more managable set up to do the -1 +2 wheelies are still easy and you can still rock on down the hwy.

Go gold bro the chains look cool as hell.

+1 evil is right the chain is lighter and the get up and go comes from the sprocket change.

sounds like the -1+2 is the best for my setup. Is there going to be a drastic change in my speed/power in the gears, esp the low ones? If say I could do 60 mph in first gear at redline, what round about speed would it drop it to? I'm just wondering. Its gona be a month or so before I get the $$$ to do it. I need tires and brake first

not sure exacly what the drop is but one thing you'll want to look at is getting a speedo healer cause when you change the sprockets your speedo and odometer are gonna be all out of wack.

I don't need one[sm=happy046.gif] My speedo is connected to the front wheel, not the tranny.

when they talk about 535-520 conversion, they are talking about the size(width) of the chain. 520 is more narrow and less weight. 05-06 636 come with this size and x-ring chains from factory!
