Default burping the radiator

does any one know how to burp the radiator on a 95 zx7. I was only using the banjo bolt on the water pump but I still can not feel water in the bottom hose. When the banjo bolt is open sometimes it will squirt and sometimes it doesn't. Should I pull the hose off the thermostat housing? Anything would help. Thank you

normally, keeping the cap off when the stat is open does a good job of burping the air out of the system. Are you overheating? There is a check to verify that your stat is operational. Removing it, boiling water and see if it operates. The stats and also the sensor is prone for failure at some point in time. So abit more info would be cool to know. (pun intended) and moved to gen tech for starters.

Er....put it on your shoulder with a blanket. Gently bounce up and down as you pat it with your hand. Should hear an audible "burp," and may get some fluid on your shirt.

Wait...huh?? That's NOT how you do it??????

Did you check the pump while you had things apart? Was the impeller still good?

I like to keep the cap off, let it idle up to temp, verify water flow. But you are probably ok. I hate the what ifs
