Default Blue Smoke kz1100 - re-built

hi, i recently rebuilt a 1983 kz1100 as it was burning oil pretty bad, shooting out black oil, but now i recently rebuilt it, new rings to see if that would help. I got the bike back together and it smoked (blue smoke) really bad after the bike warmed up and it ran great. I took it appart again and replaced the valve seals and found one to be broke so i got that replaced. Got it back together hoping that would have helped but same problem (blue smoke - out of left side of exhaust). I ran bike for a while to see if there was just lots of oil in exhaust but about a half hour to hour after running the engine still smoking bad. ?????? Frustrated and lost on what might be the problem.....
could it be one of the left piston rings stuck, or could they be damaged but seemed to go in good at the time, any suggestions or solutions would be great, thanks

Not knowing the rings or the hone, have you done a leak down? or a compression test?

i did hone the cylinders and replaced the rings, one ring got stuck going in but replaced it with an old one (the best one of the four cylinders). I did a compression test, before all cylinders were between 70-90psi and after replacing rings all cylinders were between 120-130 psi.

I always thought blue smoke was oil in the combustion chamber. I would guess its your head gasket.

I was thinking more of a valve guide issue. Didn't the older kaw's have extenal oil lines for the heads?

at first i thought it was maybe the valve seals so i replaced them and in the process i found a broken valve guide, replaced it and it still smokes, could it have broken again?? somethings not right, two bolts on the cam shaft clamps (same one, same side as problem), is stripped, could that be an issue where the cam is popping up and breaking the valve guide?
