i have an 05 636. the bike runs great and i have no problems with it except for one. when i'm driving in third gear and i try to down shift to second to make a turn or stop, the bike sometimes stalls out on me, not always but regularly. it's even locked up the back wheel twice. i don't think it's the battery because i've never had trouble turning it on. any ideas? thx

 

sounds like throttle position sensor to me. whens the last time it was serviced? dealer checks that during service.

 

i just bought the bike about a month ago and have had the oil changed already but not at a dealer. i brought it to a bike shop near my house.

i haven't brought it to the shop for that yet, i wanted to see if someone here may have some ideas of what it could be before i go through the pain of bringing it in shop. would the rpms being too high or too low have something to do with it? i haven't really paid attention to what they are at when it does it.

 

The 05 6r uses a cabled clutch??
