Default bat dies consytantly

i have a 90 zx750r and it ran all fine and good sent it to the shop for a valve adjustment. next day go to ride it and it just died in the road pulled over went to restart not even a click from the selenoid. now i thought it was the fuse from the lead on the battery as it was broken so i replaced it now it seams all the thing does now is click. set bike on charger for 8 hrs 2 amp trickle and take to work 20 mins away just as i get there it dies and i get click click click.... so now i dont know what to think seams it wont charge and or hold a charge? anyone know of an issue i am over looking i thought it was generator till i saw fuse and when it dies no lights at all come on and i mean none wont even jump start.

Welcome to the forums. I would try a new battery since it seems like it is not holding a charge.

would that cause the the bike to just DIE in the middle of the road? lol i thought the bike runs off the generator unless your saying the battery wont takewhat the generator is putting in it. also i put a volt tester to it when off it read 12v then key on 12v then running 100 rpm idle 12v then 5k rpm still 12v is this typical. see my confusion is the fuse i replaced killed the bike when pulled and was fooled when i thought that would fix it lol.

I am assuming that all connections are tight and clean for the battery. That is disonnected when doing the valves. At least I remove the leads.

so according to suggestions i should try a generator i mean i know where a guy has 3 for 60 plus shipping as regulator and all electronis are in the generator on this one and the valves were done by a bike mechanic i mean it just sounds like battery is dead you know the slow whir whir whir then click click then nothing. i am chargingit one more time going to ride it for ten mins tomorrow then taking bat back out putting it on charger again to see if it drops and needs a charge ifso the bike must be killing the battery
