89 ninja 6R I had the carbs cleaned and plugs changed ran good for 3 days and about 130 miles of riding but then went to take it out again today and it started acting up again. I did forget to turn the gas to on and it died from that.But the mechanic told me I may need a new cdi box I was woundering if that could be causing my problems. Or if maybe some more dirt got into the carbs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be the cdi box..But before I spent $100 + bucks on that, I would go thru the carbs again. How does the inside of the tank look? Is the air filter good? Sometimes if carbs get that dirty, it can take a couple of good cleanings to get all nice again. Only takes a couple of hours to go through the carbs, so I would try that first again....
